At least two people were killed when passenger bus came under gunfire attack by unidentified miscreants near Chilas, officials said on Thursday.
There was no immediate report regarding the motives of the attack.
According to police, gunmen attacked a bus travelling Gilgit from Rawalpindi killing two people.
Similar attacks have been taken place in the area where people were targeted on sectarian bases.
Chilas is a small town located in Gilgit-Baltistan. It is part of the Silk Road connected by the Karakoram Highway which links it to Islamabad in the south via Dassu, Besham, Mansehra, Abbottabad and Haripur.
