The flag hoisting ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Governor Dr. Ishrat-Ul-Ebad Khan and Sindh cabinet ministers. They laid floral wreath on the grave of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and offered fatiha this morning.
A smartly-dressed contingent of the Pakistan Naval Academy assumed duty at the change of guard ceremony at Mazar-e-Quaid. The nation is celebrating its 66th Independence Day today with traditional zeal, fervor and a renewed commitment to make the motherland prosperous and impregnable.
Pity that they never seem to take what The Quaid did and said to heart and try to follow his example.
