The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday accepted the transit bail of PML-N MNA Hanif Abbasi in the ephedrine case for three weeks and asked him to appear before the trial court.
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) had registered a case against Hanif Abbasi over taking quota of 500 kilograms of ephedrine, due to which the lawmaker feared arrest.
Talking to media persons after acceptance of his transit bail, Hanif Abbasi said his political rival Sheikh Rashid had implicated him in this case. He said he has defeated Sheikh Rashid and will quit politics if failed to beat him for third time in the next elections.
The PML-N lawmaker said Sheikh Rashid should face him in political field instead of employing such tactics.
