PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan says PTI chief Imran Khan cannot bring any change with the kind of leaders he has around him.
Addressing a ceremony held in connection with the Independence Day in Lahore, Aitzaz Ahsan said it was because of Chief Justice Ch Iftikhar Ahmad that we had democracy in Pakistan today; otherwise Musharraf would still have been ruling the country.
Elections would take place on due time as per provisions of the constitution, he said adding that all the institutions of the state should work within the limits earmarked in the constitution and there should be no clash.
“It is unfortunate that judges have started sending people to jail just for staring at them,” he said.
Aitzaz said he always raised his voice in the support of judiciary even violating the party discipline, and took part in two long marches for the cause of judiciary. “But this is the beauty of PPP that I am still in the party,” he said.
Criticizing Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, Aitzaz said no one can bring any change in the country with ‘fake coins’ in his pocket.
Most of the leaders who have joined PPP, PML-N and Tehrik-e-Insaf would have joined Musharraf had he been in power now.

  1. Mr. Chaudhry change is a gradual process and you are wise enough to understand that one person can not bring about a change.

You must be familiar with the saying "One swallow does not make a summer".

It is not Imran Khan; it is the process of gradual change and I expect that the leadership emerging after Imran Khan should be a lot wiser, a lot more sensible and a lot more credible.

Unfortunately you lost the good will you had by wading on the side of the Ex Prime Minister and the President other wise you would have been an acceptable alternate. You do not stand a chance now other than trying to look big standing on the shoulder of other individuals.

What Imran needs to be given credit for is his mobilization of the successful entrepreneurs, ex civil and military officers who would be an asset to future leadership of Pakistan.

  2. Aitzaz you were a hero at one point and had you stuck your guns to the pro judiciary casue and not sold your soul for a petty senator seat, you would have been a larger than life figure that you ONCE were. Sad! Allah says I give everyone a chance to make it big in life and you unfortunately or rather foolishly wasted it. And now after your own debacle, you have the gals to criticise IK? IK in his worst form will be better than these 2 idiots, AZ and NS who have never looked beyond the agenda of perpetuating their own self interests.

  3. Mr Aitzaz Ahsan. your 15 mins of fame ended long ago.

Like all PPP men, you have missed your chance to make things better instead choosing to allow things to slide head-long into the monumental mess your beloved party has created for us.

Your fancy foot work where excuses are concerned is impressive but you sir, have failed to live up to your abilities.

  4. AITZAZ AHSAN always stood with what is right. Today also, He is raising his voice for the truth.. Can't insult his intelligence..
People will respect his stand but a bit later..
