The preparations to celebrate 65th Independence Day of Pakistan have been completed in Hyderabad and the people will celebrate the day on Tuesday with traditional enthusiasm and national spirit.
The public and private buildings of Hyderabad City, Latifabad, Qasimabad and Hyderabad Rural Talukas have been decorated with colorful posters.
Main flag hoisting ceremony would be held at the Old Zila.
Nazim Secretariat where Hyderabad Commissioner Ahmed Bux Narejo would hoist the national flag. The ceremony would be followed by guard of honor from a police contingent and national songs from the students of different schools.
Besides, flag hoisting ceremonies would also be held in different parts of the four taulkas of the district.
The management of public and private sector schools has prepared various programs including quiz, debate, national songs and tableaus competitions for the students.
Different social welfare and nongovernmental organizations would also distribute rations among poor and deserving persons.
Sweets and fruits would be distributed among ailing persons in hospital and prisoners in Central and Nara Prisons.
In addition to this, seminars and symposia would be organized by various political parties where the speakers would highlight the sacrifices of the people during Pakistan Movement and struggle of the leaders in creation of a separate country for the Muslims of the Sub-continent.
