The Sports Board Punjab as part of the Punjab Youth Festival 2012 will be celebrating the 66th Independence Day of Pakistan on August 14 in a befitting manner. As part of the celebration, the Sports Board will be holding an Aero Modelling Show at Iqbal Park at 3.00 pm on August 14 (Tuesday). The airplane models of different types will be put on flight to entertain the general public. The flights of those model airplanes will be seen taking an altitude above Minar-e-Pakistan, the symbol of country’s independence. According to Director General Sports Board Punjab Mr Usman Anwar, the entry for general public will be free to witness the model planes taking flight. He further said that these planes will also carry the National Flag in the air. “There will be three different events other than the Aero Model Show in which milinaghmas, jungle show and face painting will also be held.” He further added that Independence Day badges and hand flags will also be distributed among the children and other participants
