Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said that tent offices set up in various cities in protest against load shedding has finally drawn the attention of the Center towards the province.
Talking to a delegation of complainants at his Thokar Niaz Baig tent office, he said that a committee under joint resolution of the Council of Common Interests has been constituted regarding power distribution among the provinces which would present a report within a week.
He said that unjustified power load shedding has halted industrial activity in Punjab rendering millions of people jobless.
The chief minister accused the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership of targeting Punjab because the people had elected PML-N candidates.
He said that millions of rupees have been allocated to Punjab police department and that they work independently to protect public lives and interests.
Separately, Shahbaz Sharif called on the police force to pay heed to the genuine grievances of the public and to ensure provision of justice in police stations without any discrimination.
Addressing a group of complainants, he warned that he would not tolerate any injustice meted out by police officials and that it is time for the police force to provide results, now that all resources have been made available to them.

  2. Foolish can't make fool of people. Increased output and favourable weather tohether have reduced the shortfall to 3500 MW, thus shortened load-shedding. And this no non-sense is trying to take the credit. Haaa.
