Militants ambush pro-govt militia, kill two, lose one

At least three persons were killed and several others got wounded in clashes between the volunteers of a pro-government tribal militia and militants in the Bara area of Khyber Agency.
Two volunteers of peace lashkar and one militant were reported dead. An official said that a group of militants had attacked the peace lashkar volunteers at the Akakhel area of Bara around midnight between Friday and Saturday. Two volunteers were killed and several others were injured, the official said.
Later the peace lashkar, with help of security forces, went on a retaliation hunt and shot dead one militant.
Meanwhile, two persons, including a driver, were injured when a high intensity IED (improvised explosive device) went off on road side at Takhta Beg, Jamrod in Khyber Agency. The official said that the bomb’s target was a NATO container, which was on its way to Afghanistan.
