Daughter of the president and Goodwill Ambassador of Polio Eradication Campaign Asifa Bhutto Zardari said on Saturday that opportunist elements create negative propaganda against Polio campaign.
In an interview to the state’s TV channel, she said if polio vaccination was harmful for health, my mother Benazir Bhutto would not have made me drink polio drop to start the campaign.
She said that polio vaccination was also administered in Saudi Arabia because they know that it was not harmful to health neither against the Sharia, as polio is not an issue of any single country or nation.
Asifa said that every possible effort would be made to get access in terror hit areas and added that vaccination facilities were provided in the Army Hospitals present in those areas. Polio cases have been decreased in Pakistan as not a single case of polio has been reported in the biggest city Karachi, she maintained.
The Polio Eradication Campaign ambassador thanked the International Community for cooperation in eradication of polio from Pakistan.
Asifa firmed that ‘polio free Pakistan’ the dream of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto would be fulfilled at any cost.
The campaign and the campaigner lose their sincerity when you try to derive political mileage out of it. It is a noble humanitarian cause. Please pursue it as such. God Speed.

They are so ashamed of their name zardari that they have changed it to bhutto- so as to capitalise on that name and to keep their dynasty in power.The other thing is every fart they stink it is credited to benazir bhutto-as if others have not played their role in making pakistan what it is.they make it sound as if pakistan would have been nothing without benazir!

weldone Asifa, U are too young for such a big cause but this is ur mother Benazir Bhutto shaheed's upbringing which has made U such a kind & active individual for such a tough job because I work for an NGO in tribal areas and I know well how much it is tough to convince the local people about polio as they term it an agenda of west to eliminate Muslim population, but u are right & please make ur statement:
