The mobile vans of National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) Regional Headquarters Sukkur have started to visit areas of Larkana, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Shikarpur and Jacobabad districts in a bid to issue Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) to the people of rural and remote areas, a NADRA spokesperson said on Friday. These mobile vans will visit various union councils of Larkana, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Shikarpur and Jacobabad districts upto August 17.
According to the general manager NADRA Regional Headquarters Sukkur, mobile vans would start functioning in various union councils of Mirokhan taluka of Kamber-Shahdadkot district upto August 17, 2012. The NADRA mobile vans are also scheduled to visit various UCs of Taluka Larkana of District Larkana from August 13 to 17.
The spokesman advised the people to contact NADRA’s Regional Headquarters Sukkur in case of any query with regard to the visit of the mobile vans in their respective areas.
CM releases grant for Benazir Bhutto Gallery: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has issued Rs 0.640 million as grant for further development of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Gallery of Institute of Sindhology University of Sindh museum at Jamshoro.
According to university spokesman, Senior Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq also announced Rs 2 million for enrichment of the facilities of all the chairs set up in the Institute of Sindhology.
The spokesman also appealed the donors to donate articles, equipment and gifts relating to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to the Institute of Sindhology so that those could be kept safely in the gallery with the names of the donors.
The spokesman informed that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Convention Center had also been set up at University of Sindh, where Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Chair will also be established so that research on the services of great leader could be initiated.
The interested persons could donate the published or unpublished materials which they possess relating to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to the said convention center, he said.
