Ignoring the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, beggars continue to hound citizens and have nearly invaded the city in anticipation of Eid.
These beggars can be seen at traffic signals and crossroads and sometimes even small streets. People often encounter these beggars on shopping expeditions out side of malls and in bazaars and have complained about this botheration.
MAO College, Regal Chowk, Shadman, Muslim Town Morr, Garhi Shahu, Ichhra, Anarkali, Moon Market, Chowk Data Darbar, Chauburji, Baghbanpura, Railway Station, Niazi Chowk, Lorry Adda and Badami Bagh are all flocked by beggars.
When contacted, the CCPO Lahore said that he had strictly ordered immediate removal of beggars.
“I have also directed the chief traffic officer to ensure early removal of beggars”, he added.
