Since first Ramazan, 1,413,157 bags of 10 kg flour have been provided to the people in the metropolis on discounted rates under the Sindh government’s `sasta atta package’.
This was stated by Karachi Commissioner Roshan Ali Shaikh on Friday.
He also visited stalls established in various parts of the city and asked from the people about the quality as well as availability of flour.
The commissioner made it clear that the flour under this scheme was being made available for the provision of relief to the people. He made it clear that no dereliction or malpractices would be tolerated in this regard. Roshan Shaikh asked the people that in case of any complaint they should contact the control rooms of commissioner or the deputy commissioners.
