Pakistan Muslim League- Functional (PML-F) chief Pir Pagara has hinted at reconsidering his party’s alliance with the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) after Eidul Fitr, a private TV channel reported on Thursday. Addressing journalists during an Iftar reception in Karachi, Pir Pagara said the PML-F wants to work with the PPP but the latter did not seem inclined to work with it. “President Asif Zardari is in favour of the alliance but his party leaders are bent on sabotaging it,” he said, adding that there were no chances of the elections being held within one year. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, who is visiting Sindh, called on the PML-F chief at his residence for talks.
