Zahid Bukhari, attorney for Malik Riaz Hussain, on Thursday said the investigation into the Arsalan Iftikhar case had been put to a halt. He claimed that reports that the investigation was underway were wrong. Bukhari said Arsalan Iftikhar, son of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, never appeared before the investigation officer. He said his client Riaz had already raised the issue with the apex court that investigations should not have been stopped after the statement of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Prosecutor General KK Agha. Bukhari said although NAB had removed the controversial members from the team, still the investigations had not resumed.
The lawyer said this impression was wrong that he wanted to delay the hearing of the case for long, adding that he wanted quick justice. Earlier, KK Agha informed the court that two members of the JIT, Islamabad SP Faisal Bashir Memom and FIA’s Nasarullah Godal, who had been accused by Arsalan Iftikhar of being partial, had been taken off the team, leaving the remaining three members, all belonging to NAB, to investigate the matter.

A person whose not appearing before the investigation teams and just appearing before his father(CJP) court, a person who is accusing on the NAB JIT openly and still wandering here and there happily just because He is the Son of CJP..Shame…!

this should not be ordered by SC to stop investigation of the case, malik riaz had already provide every thing he had but when it came to ask arslan sc ordered to stop investigation.
This thing not gonna help in any way when they already investigate from Mr Malik and when its Arslan turn`s they stop investigation .How the justice will come ????
