Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf President Javed Hashmi has said that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was opponent of nuclear explosions.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, he dared Nisar to face him and alleged it was he (Nisar) who pit Gen Musharraf and Nawaz Sharif against each other and paved the way for martial law in 1999.
He said a team of eight absconders had sought apology after the martial law in 2000 and Chaudhry Nisar was among them.
“Chaudhry Nisar is responsible for the imposition of martial law in the past and he was also against the nuclear tests,” Hashmi said.
Repeating the allegations levelled against Nawaz by PTI Chairman Imran Khan just a few days ago, Hashmi questioned why doesn’t he take the writer, who accused him of corruption, to court?
Hashmi said the PML-N, a party to which he had dedicated a long part of his political career before switching to the PTI, was surrounded by pretenders. He added that Nawaz had been enveloped by members who had left the party in difficult times and were now acting as party’s front-men.
Talking about the supremacy of the judiciary, Hashmi alleged that both “Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif had always tried to usurp its rights.”
Hashmi said that why didn’t Nisar explain about his children’s US citizenship. He said Nawaz Sharif wanted to curtail powers of judiciary during his term as prime minister.
He said that the PML-N and PPP were making the mockery of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
