Hussain vows maximum kicks, punches to get GWR

Pakistan’s Guinness Record holder Ahmed Hussain of Peshawar will attempt five Guinness World Records (GWR) through the platform of the Punjab Youth Festival 2012 to be organized by the Sports Board Punjab.
Briefing journalists about the platform for creating world records, Director General SBP, Mr. Usman Anwar said: “We have invited people from all over the country to show their talent through the base provided by the Punjab government and it is very encouraging aspect that people are coming from different cities of Pakistan to show their talent.
He further said that the Punjab Youth Festival is going to be held at different levels, which also includes the national level. “In that level the National Games will also be held in which there will be participation from all over the country,” he added.
He further said that the sports festival that was organisd by the SBP and the youth festival that is going to be organized were formulated after studying the best sports structures of the world. “Our model of festival is being adopted by several other countries and the main function of the SBP is to revive the sports culture in the province,” he added.
“We are giving an opportunity to people to show the world that they are not less than anybody. Carrying the vision to make the talent of Pakistan known to the world, the SBP has invited people aspiring to create GWR and Ahmed Hussain has come forward to improve his own record of maximum kicks,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahmed Hussain said he will attempt to regain his own one minute record of maximum kicks, improve his two records of kicks in three minutes and one-hour and then go for maximum punches in one minute and create a record of punches in eight hours.
He further said that other than this he would attempt some more records to write the name of the country in GWR book.
He felt honoured for the platform provided by the Punjab government in the backdrop of the fact that the Peshawar government did nothing for his promotion.
He said that he has broken 10 GWRs and one Asian and out of those two are still held by him. “I am working of different records and by the Grace of Allah Almighty I will get back by records,” he added.
He said that he broke the world record for most martial art kicks with 3561 kicks in hour took away by an Indian martial art player Jayanath Ready who broke his record by hitting hit 2982 kicks in one hour.
“For this record 20 countries martial arts player tried but all failed. This record is considered the most difficult one in Guinness World Record history.” He further said: “In one minute, I will attempt more than 335 kicks in one minute and bring laurels for the country,” he added.
