At least one soldier was killed and several others were wounded on Thursday after suspected Taliban insurgents attacked an army convoy in Mohmand Agency.
Officials said the militants attacked convoy post in Qandharo area of the tribal agency in the wee hours of Thursday.
“One of our soldiers was martyred and seven have sustained injuries after the attack,” an official said, adding that a search operation had been started in the area.
Officials said it was remote control bomb device planted roadside and exploded while army convoy was passing through the area.
