Security team finds bombs in raid on Quetta house

Security personnel raided a house in the provincial capital on Wednesday, and seized a huge quantity of explosives besides arresting two persons. According to security officials, police received information that a militant group was settled in a posh area of the city, and was planning to carry out sabotage activities on sectarian basis. The local police, along with the personnel of a secret agency, raided the house in Jinnah Town, and found a large cache of explosives.
Two persons, who claimed to be watchmen, were also arrested. According to police, preliminary investigation revealed that a militant group belonging to a banned sectarian organization from northern areas had entered Quetta a few weeks ago, and wanted to carry out acts of sabotage against a particular sect. Police said that it was conducting raids in various parts of the city to arrest the extremist group’s members and leader, believed to have come from Parachinar.
