Pillion riding on Youm-e-Ali rally route banned

The district administration on Wednesday decided to ban pillion riding within one kilometer range of Youm-e-Ali procession.
This ban will be enforced between August 9th (today) and August 10 under section 144 as security measures for the death anniversary of Hazrat Ali. Women, the elderly and journalists will be exempt from the ban.
Police authorities announced that over 3,000 police personnel will be deployed in various parts of the city to ensure strict security.
Police have also arrested 25 suspects during search operations in various areas including Rang Mahal, Dehli Gate and Mochi Gate.
