Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the tempo of fast development would be maintained in order to provide basic facilities like hospitals, dispensaries, roads, bridges, educational institutions, sewerage and drinking water throughout the province.
Talking to a delegation of people, he assured them that the government had made beautification of roads its top priority.
He said that it was said that the people had of the country had been denied basic facilities even after 65 years of independence.
He added that the government was committed to raising the living standards of the poverty-ridden masses.
He said that about 3 million plots had already been distributed among the needy and the process would continue until every homeless family in the province was provided with shelter.
