Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the tempo of fast development would be maintained in order to provide basic facilities like hospitals, dispensaries, roads, bridges, educational institutions, sewerage and drinking water throughout the province.
Talking to a delegation of people, he assured them that the government had made beautification of roads its top priority.
He said that it was said that the people had of the country had been denied basic facilities even after 65 years of independence.
He added that the government was committed to raising the living standards of the poverty-ridden masses.
He said that about 3 million plots had already been distributed among the needy and the process would continue until every homeless family in the province was provided with shelter.

  1. One man show and thug style governence doesnt always work! think out of box and poverity cant be eradicated by infrastructure only, poverity can only be decreased by creating jobs across the country, by setting up mega manufacturing units that require man power.
    Building roads only in Lahore and leading to Raiwind doesnt solve problems people living in other cities and towns of Punjab. Lahore is already over developed compared to other cities. Focus should now be on smaller cities and towns. Instead of creating mega hospitals, make some local clinics in every village for basic health provision, first do that it will be major step.
