Blame game between Imran, Nisar continues

Blame game between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf seems to be continuing as PML-N stalwart and opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan criticised Imran Khan and repeated his allegations against him.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said that Imran Khan was to give answers of several serious questions. He said that Khan had never paid tax as there were not tax returns to prove that. Nisar said Khan claimed he purchased piece of land in Sheikhupura at Rs 7 million but didn’t mention it in the tax returns.
He claimed that Khan said he purchased residence in Islamabad after selling out his flat in London but there was no proof of money being transferred to Islamabad from London.
Clearing allegations against Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar said that his flats in Mayfair were not hidden from anyone and they were bought on loans. “It has been almost 20 years since the flats were bought, but the loans have still not been paid back. It is not something unusual, it is on record.”
“Imran says Nawaz Sharif should not hide behind his family, I would ask him not to hide behind the Shaukat Khanam Cancer Hospital,” the PML-N stalwart added. “Khan had said he will challenge me in the court but he is still keeping quiet,” Nisar said.
He added Nawaz Sharif’s sons would respond to Khan’s statements as they were running business.
Nisar said that Imran Khan never criticized President Asif Ali Zardari and only mentioned Nawaz’s name while citing book of Raymond Baker. He challenged Imran Khan to hold a media debate and chose five media persons so that the truth could be told to the nation.
Chaudhry Nisar claimed that the agenda of Khan was similar to that of Interior Minister Rehman Malik and President Asif Ali Zardari. “You brought Raymond Baker’s book in your press conference. In that same book, the most number of allegations are against Asif Zardari. But you don’t see anything against him; you didn’t bring them to the people.”
He added that in the same book, there were several accusations against army generals but Khan did not expose them either.
“You should have been obliged to mention the truth. The allegations in the book, with a footnote, are attributed to an interview of Rehman Malik.
“All eleven accusations you posed are the same as those posed by Rehman Malik when Benazir Bhutto was in power. Some were made into cases, rest are all baseless accusations.”

  1. I think Imran Khan should not wate time in rebutting the blames by PML(n), rather concentrate on preparation for election. PML(n) has no program and no supporters. They are losing even the existing members.

  3. Imran khan should not get into this dirty game with these crooks. They are masters of this blame game and without conceding anything themselves they will drag Imran deeper and deeper into this and Imran being new to this, I am afraid, is likely to loose a lot.

  9. Not sure why IK has to respond to Nisar, he is not the same stature and level as him. IK should nominate someone from the PTI ranks to deal with Nisar.
