Akbar Bugti case: Former CM Balochistan records statement

Former chief minister Jam Muhammad Yusuf has recorded his statement regarding Akbar Bugti case in Balochistan High Court.
A two-member bench of Balochistan High Court comprising Justice Mandokhel and Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mengal Thursday heard the case requesting for the interim bail of Jam Yusuf and transfer of the case to another court.
The bench showed diffidence against the investigative process stating that it is ineffective.
The bench also expressed annoyance for not recording the statement earlier.
In his statement, Jam Yusuf held the stance that he was unaware of the army operation conducted in the reign of Pervez Musharraf against Akbar Bugti, and that when the army reached Dera Bugti for securing gas-installations he was outside Quetta.
Hadi Shakeel Ahmed Advocate and Sohail Ahmed Rajpoot Advocate pursued the case on behalf of Jamil Akbar Bugti, son of Nawab Akbar Bugti.
After the arguments from Jamil Akbar Bugti’s side, hearing of the case was adjourned till September 3.
