Story set for new X-Men movie

The next flick in the X-Men franchise will be based on the Days of Future Past storyline, a favorite among Marvel Comics fans. Bryan Singer, who served as a producer on the previous X-Men movies and directed the first two, officially announced to Ign.com plans to base the next movie on Days of Future Past, a story arc set in the future, where mutants are hunted down by giant robots called Sentinels and sent to concentration camps. Matthew Vaughn is back behind the camera after directing X-Men: First Class. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender will also come back in the roles of Professor X and Magneto. The plot will open the door for comebacks by actors in the first three films, since it switches between two periods, past and future. The shooting is expected to start in January 2013.
