Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Tuesday said ongoing spells of load shedding have ransacked the economy of Pakistan.
While talking to the media he said, Punjab is being subjected to the revenge of worst kind with President Asif Ali Zardari playing the central role.
Replying a question regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s comments, Shahbaz Sharif remained non-committal, saying, “My son gave fairly satisfactory answers regarding Imran. I don’t want to add anything.”
Punjab contributed Rs11 billion for National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, he added.
“We can also work sitting in tents instead of air conditioned rooms, as we aim to serve the country and nation,” he asserted.
Regarding Multan firework blast, he said the inquiry is being conducted.

We blame Shahbaz Sharif for over all crisis for having worlds worse most brother as his Party Chief who is none less than a chaos for Pakistan
Its musharraf who is to be blamed for having absolute power and doing nothing. He could take difficult decisions but he did not. The rapid growth in his tenure was not matched by equal production of energy and hence the current crisis.
Zardari was expected to do nothing
InshaAllah Mian Sahib will bring the change and resolve the issue

Nawaz Sharif is the culprit. He set the tone of scandalising energy projects during 1993-96 tenure of PPP government. He used to tell everybody that we did not need all this electricity and projects are only being set up to make commission. He misled the nation with his vociferous false propaganda that everybody thought we did not need any energy projects and Musharraf also believed it. Result : We are in a mess today. If these Sharifs had not been planted in our political system by despicable despot Zia, Pakistan would have been a much better place to live in.
Zardari has practically taken us back to stone age
Zardari has practically taken us back to stone age
Each year 10b$ required for debt servicing
Power shortage = 6000MW (two dams required urgently to meet growing needs)
He simply has wasted time and resources alike. The energy crisis could have had been over come so earlier had he shown an interest into it. But not. He did not work out things to make out enough energy in Punjab just because he wanted people to remain in loadsheding so that politically they turn against Zardari.

Sharif brothers are responsible for present energy crisis. Whatever energy we have today is because of IPPs set up during second tenure of Benazir Bhutto. Remember, these were the projects which were scandalised. But when Sharif brothers came to power with a manipulated two-thirds mandate, they did not add a single megawatt. Thereafter, governments remained totally indifferent to our growing energy needs. This time again, PPP government at federal level is working hard to add energy resources. On the contrary, Punjab government has not added a single megawatt. Sharifs are only interested in making money left and right. They are a curse on our heads.

Its not Musharraf who is to be blamed at all. Its the PML (N) who continues to play the revenge card all the time to cover for there defficiencies. Load shedding has been there in Pakstan since the late 80's, how can we forget. Successive governments failed to do anything including thrice of PPP and twice of the ganjaz. Political will is missing and in addition the sindh and the frontier cardsdid not allow the Kalabagh to be built. Musharraf was continuously hollering that the rain waters are going into the sea, we need to harness those but the politicians always made propaganda out of it. Most ills relateto the politicians and now to some extent the judiciary. Inaddition, what we face today is culmination of 65 years of ill planning, corruption and vested interest. Army take over times have always been the best excluding Zia ul Haq time.
