The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday granted interim bail to former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao in Akbar Bugti murder case. Sherpao submitted petition in the PHC for interim bail and PHC Justice Shahjehan Akhundzada, accepting the petition, granted it until August 30. Later, Sherpao told reporters that his name was not mentioned in the FIR of Bugti murder case. He said the military operation in Balochistan was conducted for maintaining law and order and it was a provincial issue. He said he had submitted his statement in the Balochistan High Court in this regard and had fully cooperated in the investigation conducted until now.
