Some terrorists on Tuesday attacked a joint security check post located at the border of Peshawar and Khyber Agency where a man was injured in the assault.
The exchange of fire continued for many hours and then the militants managed to flee from the spot as they failed in the attainment of their objective. Additional police contingent was called in to counter the attack on the check post located in Kalay Shekhan. The injured security man was shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex.
Meantime, security men defused a bomb in Badhber area here. The bomb was intended to target security personnel.
