Zardari believes ‘corruption to be supreme’: Likeminded

Hamid Nasir Chattha and Mian Muhammad Asif, Leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Likeminded (PML-LM), have said that President Asif Ali Zardari does not believe in the constitution, parliament or judiciary but believes in corruption. They said that President Asif Ali Zardari considered “corruption to be supreme”.
Addressing a meeting of the workers and leaders of PML-LM on Sunday, chairman of the party, Hamid Nasir Chattha, and provincial secretary information of the party, Mian Muhammad Asif, said that during the last four and a half years of the reign of Pakistan Peoples Party, the country had to face a loss of Rs 8.5 trillions on account of corruption, bad governance and tax evasion. They were of the view that PPP was out to maintain an environment appropriate for tussle among the institutions.
The government and its allies must stop revolt against the judiciary, they added, warning that if the government got involved in controversial legislation in future, it would be rebutted in the same manner.
They said that the 180 million Pakistanis would not let PPP to become ‘political martyrs’.
Referring to Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhary Pervez Ilahi, they said Chaudhary brothers had made a political suicide by allying with President Asif Ali Zardari. They said that in addition to President Asif Ali Zardari, Chaudhary brothers were responsible for corruption and electricity load shedding, as they had become a “B-team” of PPP.
In the next general elections, PML-Q would also meet a setback along with the PPP, they maintained.
They proposed it was necessary to hold early elections in order to let the country out of crises.
