Water flow at major rivers normal, no flood threat: IRSA

Indus River System Authority (IRSA) has said that water flow in all major rivers across the country is normal and there is no threat of flood.
In a statement here on Monday, IRSA officials reported that water flow in Indus River near Tarbela remained 281,100 cusecs and 31,694 cusecs in River Jhelum near Mangla. In River Chenab near Marala the water inflow was 77,540 cusecs. River Ravi’s flow near Sidhnai remained 17,275 cusecs and 16,511 cusecs in River Sutlej near Sulemanki.
According to IRSA, water storage capacity at Tarbela dam is 62ft and 47ft at Mangla Dam.

  1. Its blessing of Almighty that there is no any flood threat in this year. Flood damages being reported in the areas of Ravi, Sutluj and Chenab is because of the masses who have executed their Houses, infrastructure etc. in the way of river flow where rivers are flowing below low flood level.
