PPP Senator Faisal Raza Abidi on Sunday hurled allegations at Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, demanded his and other judges’ resignation who were reinstated under the Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO).
In a press conference in Islamabad, Abidi held Justice Chaudhry responsible for alleged financial impropriety done by his son, Dr Arsalan Iftikhar. The senator said if the chief justice did not tender his resignation, he would “force him out the same way he had been restored as a judge”. “He [Justice Chaudhry] says that he did not have any idea where his son got all that money from…I ask, when the case emerged, did you ask him where he got Rs 900 million from?”
The senator produced bank account statements of Dr Arsalan and said the person who used to “work under somebody else” now had billions of rupees.
He also showed that the billing address mentioned was that of the Chief Justice House in Islamabad.
“You [Justice Chaudhry] are to be blamed for this. This happened right in front of you. You cannot pretend to not know anything. Who gave Dr Arsalan the right to use government’s property for running his own businesses? Could he not rent out an office in some other area?” Abidi said he would now “personally” investigate Dr Arsalan’s assets and would fly to Dubai and London to inquire about his international bank accounts. “I will probe into the accounts he has activated under the name of mamu.” Abidi said parliament was supreme and above other institutions.
“Parliament forms laws and constitutions. Who gave you the right to criticise and meddle in its affairs?”
“I accept your challenge in the war you have waged against the parliament. But mine is not a war of arms, it is a war of words, because Pakistan cannot afford agitation at this moment as it is already going through tough times.”

    • Your frequent arrivals here shows that I have F*U*C*K*E*D ur ass so much that your cries will never stop. Ok when this night finishes I will start from morning again so that ur L*U*S*T for ….is satisfied, and u cry no more rather u go unconscious

    • so you are saying that you and I should be thrown in jail for wrongdoing but not those people who hold public offices?

      • Do u really hv concept of right or wrong? Who is doing wrong?Parliament or appointed judges(the govt servants)

        • Put it this way, amending a law to save # of political figures and negatively affecting rest of the population should NOT be the best interest of Pak people. As i understand, the court has the interpretation authority over law and as such it has the right to void if it deems necessary.

          • But court cannot snatch from Parliament its duty of legislation. Parliament is sovereign and judges are appointed not elected and any attempt by them to stop parliament from legislation will amount to userpation of people's rights and against principles of democracy which all about people.

          • court has never claimed that right. All the court doing is testing the legislation on the touch stone of constitution. Any thing against the spirit of the constitution is bound to be thrown out. Its as simple as that.
And remember, apex court's words are final. That's what constitution says.

      • In a fair mind, if a judiciary targets the government, the parliament has the right to amend the contempt law.

  1. he is just trying to regai his position i party. He is no more ppp president karachi. all his appointee in karachi are replaced. this is just frustration but he should remember wt happened to babar awan. as far as CJ is concerned, dont look at personality. look at decisions. all decisions are as per all and against corrupt mafia…………. In that press conference did any one ask him how he is bearing expences of living in a 5 star hotel i islamabad for last many years

  2. People respect Judiciery.which work for the benefit of country and its people.Judiciery must be neutrial, impartial and draw respect through its decision making process.People also get the sense that justice has been done. A tilted Judiciery is no good for delivering Justice.

  3. It is disgusting bunch of people. It is no use to put any comment on the present situation.

  4. Cheap-Justice & his allies must reply to what Abidi is saying repeatedly – it seems CJ camp lacks solid answers that's why they have not initiated contempt of court law as yet !!! me and millions are of the opinion that "Judicial Martial Law" has been imposed by this Cheap-Justice….. "CH.VIRUS"

    • Sorry…very sorry…You must have manners, must have arguments and need not to take the words of a mad dog serious.

    • You must be a cronnie or servent of Zardari.
If not you must be either blind, deaf, and mute not to know what Zaradri and his cronnies have done to the people of Pakistan.
Or maybe you are just a illiterate low life like all of Ali Baba Zardari thieves.

  5. Now Zardari is trying to send the MAD DOGS in the field to put negative impression on the general public,BUT BARKING FOGS CANNOT BITE.CJ SAHEB YUNDI E BADE MUKHALIF SE NA GHABRA AEY CJ SAHEB YEH TOA CHALTI HAI YUJHAE ONCHA URAHANE K LIA.

  6. MAD MAD MAD REACTION OF OVERDRINKING CONTROL YOURSELF THIS IS NOT CRICKET,BUT THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ALLOTED THESE WORKS THEY ARE MAJBOOR.

  7. Feisal knows from experience because from a male nurse he has become a billionaire. This guy looks like a criminal.

    • Abidi can prove he paid tax and how he has become billionaire – but the ounce is one CJ and his son Arsalan – they didnot have paid any tax , being Govt servants ! How they have become multi-billonaires in mere 4years – thats the answer we want to know idiot!!!

  8. Abdi is a true representative from a degenerate Party and to some extent our society. One could question his upbringing. He does not have the morality to say things on his own.He has always been someones boy.

  9. I have noticed that this site has taken a Pro-PPP stance.

Faisal Raza Abidi should resign. Not his honour The Chief Justice of Pakistan

  10. Its nothing but mere frustration. They have ran out of sane arguments and have degraded them to abusive language.
Their days are numbered now and are looking for an opportunity to grab political shaheed.

  11. This person seems to be drunk.I am not kidding…he is drunk.shame on ppp to have such people and shame on us to have such person in the senate.

  12. He was over drunk yesterday and also over frustrated as no one giving him any lift in the PPP.
I don't why such Mad Dogs are kept in Senate and allowed to stay in 5 star hotels in Islamabad. Such mad dogs when stay in these hotels, the hotel business in those days get reduced as normal people hate staying with such Mad Dogs.

  13. Zardari is letting his top barking dog out to destroy and melign the Judges, whilst pretending that he is upset with his loyal dog.
Zardari is truly the King of Deciet and Decepetion.
If the Pakistani people do not see that Zardari is behind this barking dog Abidi then they are as mad as dogs.
