Leaders of Pakistan Muslim League (Likeminded), Hamid Nasir Chattha and Mian Muhammad Asif have said that in the eyes of President Asif Ali Zardari, “Corruption is Supreme”. They expressed the opinion that President Zardari does not believe in the constitution, parliament or judiciary but believes in corruption.
Addressing a meeting of the workers and leaders of Pakistan Muslim League (LM) Sunday, Chairman of the party, Hamid Nasir Chattha and Provincial secretary information of the party, Mian Muhammad Asif said that during the last four and a half years of the reign of Pakistan People’s Party, the country had to face a loss of Rs 8.5 trillions on account of corruption, bad governance and tax evasion.
They were of the view that PPP is out to maintain an environment appropriate for tussle among the institutions. The government and its allies must stop revolt against the judiciary, they added, warning that if the government gets involved in controversial legislation in future, it will be rebutted in the same manner.
They said the 180 million Pakistanis would not let PPP to become ‘political martyrs’. Referring to Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhary Pervez Ilahi, they said Chaudhary brothers have made a political suicide by allying with President Asif Ali Zardari.
They said, in addition to President Asif Ali Zardari, Chaudhary brothers are responsible for corruption and electricity load shedding, as they have become a “B-team” of PPP. In the next general elections, PML-Q will also meet a set back like PPP, they maintained. They proposed it is necessary to hold early elections in order to let the country out of crises.
