Pakistan Davis Cup Player Samir Iftikhar will make his debut in the Qualifying round of the ITF 15000US$ Aegon Pro Series being held at Cumberland Tennis Club UK from August 6 to 10. India’s Somiv Daverman is the top seed in the main draw along with 4th seed and 333 World Ranked Richard Bloomfield of Great Britain to whom Samir had extended at the semifinals of Aegon British tour last June. This will be his first appearance at the ITF futures tournament for the highly-talented Dual British Citizen youngster from Pakistan who is only junior from Pakistan after his first cousin Aisamul Haq since 1998 to win back to back 4 ITF Junior world Ranking titles for Pakistan in 2010 and broke Dominance of Khan Brothers by winning National Mens Hard Court and Junior Titles and storming into Pakistan Davis Cup Team in 2011.Highly Patriotic Samir had offered his services for 2012 Davis Cup against Philpines to PTF from USA where he is currently on 4 Year Athletic and Educational scholarship at University of New Mexico and finished his first year in May Flying Colors and made country proud by excelling in Tennis with unbeaten run in University conference matches and as well in Academics with 3.67 out of 4 GPR ( All A Grades) .
