Remove all encroachments!

Hyderabad Division Commissioner Ahmed Bux Narejo has directed the districts administrations of Jamshoro and Thatta districts to extend full cooperation to National Highway Authority for removal of encroachments at the both sides of Hyderabad-Karachi Super Highway so that the project of converting Four-Lane Super Highway into Six-Lane Motorway (M-9) could be completed at the earliest. The commissioner issued such directives to district administrations of Jamshoro and Thatta district while presiding over a meeting here on Saturday which convened to remove the bottlenecks occurring in completion of M-9. The Commissioner while terming Motorway M-9 a gift to the people of Sindh said that maximum cooperation should be extended to National Highway Authority so that commuters could get facility of using standardized highway and save their precious right while traveling from Hyderabad to Karachi.
He asked the Deputy Commissioners of Jamshoro and Thatta districts to submit the report of joint survey regarding removal of encroachments at the both sides of Four-Lane Super Highway so that the construction of two more lane could become possible for Motorway M-9.
Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Agha Suhail informed the meeting that preliminary survey revealed the locations of 22 Restaurants, 35 Petrol Pumps/CNG Stations, 21 Masajid with two Madaris, five Police Check Posts, 10 Houses, 21 vacant plots, 181 Shops, one Hospital, 10 Boundaries and corridor of a Textile Mill within the revenue limits of Jamshoro districts. He informed that No Objection Certificates have been issued to owners of Petrol Pumps/CNG Stations by National Highway Authority. The Deputy Commissioner Thatta Dr Hafeez Sial also briefed the meeting about the land location and the encroachments at the side of Super Highway, which identified in the limitations of his district.
ADs appointed to coordinate development work: Deputy Commissioner Matiari Shahid Leghari has informed that Sindh planning and development department has started appointing assistant director in each district with the objective to assist the district management and making close coordination among all departments for completion of development schemes in the district without experiencing any bottlenecks.
The deputy commissioner informed this while presiding over a meeting here at his office on Friday evening, which reviewed the pace of work on development schemes, which are under completion in different parts of the district.
He said that appointment of Assistant Director at district level from Sindh Planning and Development Department will help in timely completion of the ongoing development schemes in the district. While reviewing the pace of work on development schemes, being carried out in different parts of Matiari district, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officers concerned to complete all development schemes within stipulated time so that the people could get benefits from the efforts of the government at the earliest and at their nearest.
He also directed them to ensure the quality of work while completing these development schemes so that the people of the area could get long run benefits from these public oriented schemes. He underlined the need of making close coordination among all line departments so that no hindrance could occur in completion of these development schemes. The representatives of the concerned departments briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the developments schemes of roads, education, ealth and public health sectors.
