President Asif Ali Zardari has called a meeting of legal experts and lawyers from PPP today (Sunday), to consider the aftermath of the court decision regarding the contempt law. Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, Farooq H. Naik and Sardar Latif Khosa among other lawyers, would participate in the meeting, which would be held at the Aiwan-e-Sadar today. The meeting would discuss all options for the government, now that the Supreme Court has declared the newly inducted contempt law null and void. Parliamentary members of PPP have also been summoned on August 8, in which the political situation of the country and affairs pertaining to the Supreme Court would be discussed.
