LUMS abuzz with NOP activity

The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) campus is abuzz with activity and excitement as the National Outreach Programme (NOP) applicants have been invited on campus to attend coaching sessions on academic and personal development to fully equip them with the tools they would need for the rigorous admissions test. Every year, the university management makes an effort to identify applicants for the NOP programme immediately after their matriculation results and invites them for summer coaching on campus to prepare for LUMS admission tests. These students then sit through a rigorous admission test and if they are successful in qualifying for admission, they are awarded a full merit scholarship that includes tuition, boarding and lodging and a living allowance. At least 25% of the students at of the LUMS undergraduate student body are from the NOP stream. This year, 337 enthusiastic applicants are attending the coaching sessions. On-campus accommodation has been provided to applicants from outside of Lahore.
