Putting the previous reports of differences behind, it is learnt that producer Ramesh Taurani and Deepika Padukone have become good friends during the making of Race 2. After completing three schedules with the fourth one already underway in Mumbai, the filmmaker is all praise for his leading lady, vis-a-vis her performance in front of the camera and professionalism off it. Taurani said, “The shoot has been going great and we really enoyed working with Deepika. Never mind what time we’d pack-up at the end of the day, she’d be ready with the make-up and all on the dot the next morning.” The actress, who’s acting in the thriller genre for the first time, is said to have a very different look in this Abbas-Mustan directed movie, also featuring Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel. Praising the actress’s histrionics, the producer adds, “Deepika is a very good actress no doubt, but she also works as hard in her preparations for the part too. Like she took out time to rehearse extensively before we shot a dance number. And when we shot it, I must say I’m impressed with her sincerity and dedication in putting everything into her role.”
