The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Friday welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision that declared the new contempt of court law null and void. A PTI spokesman said the party welcomed with open arms the decision of the Pakistan Supreme Court striking the new contempt of court law which was in conflict with Article 63(1)(g) of the constitution. The spokesman said the PTI vehemently supported justice, humanity and self esteem and this decision was in line with all these values. “This law has upheld the supremacy of the law and has paved the way for a more egalitarian and transparent society,” he said.
