On the special directives of the custodian of two holy mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, relief goods for flood and earthquake victims have been despatched for distribution within a week. According to regional director, Shah Abdullah Flood Relief, Khalid Usmani, relief goods worth Rs 180 million have been sent for 32,000 families of 24 districts affected by the 2010 floods and the 2005 earthquake disaster. The relief package comprises cereals of three types, baisen, rice, edible oil, sugar, tea, powdered milk, cold drinks, salt and dates. Khalid Usmani said the Saudi government and people would continue cooperation with Pakistan for development and prosperity of the brotherly country.
