PML-N failed Khosa, or so he believes

Zulfiqar Khosa, senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), renounced his party membership on Wednesday night over a host of issues with the party’s top leadership, Geo News reported on Thursday.
TV anchor Kamran Khan said that Khosa decided to leave the PML-N as the party had failed to support him and his sons in various cases, and had in recent days stopped taking him into confidence over administrative issues related to the government and the party. Khan said that Khosa might have also been under pressure due to serious administrative allegations against his sons.
“All this started when Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif asked Zulfiqar Khosa’s son Dost Muhammad to resign from the provincial cabinet following the controversy over actress Sapna Khan, who was reportedly married to Dost.
“Dost also got involved in another controversy when he asked his personal staff to shift government furniture and electrical appliances to his private residence from the government-allotted house in Lahore GOR-I area, causing an embarrassment to the party leadership when the matter was reported in the press,” said Khan. Khan also claimed that Khosa was facing tough resistance from within his family as one of his sons wanted to join the Pakistan People’s Party and could not do so until the veteran politician from Dera Ghazi Khan left the PML-N. Meanwhile, various reports suggested that the PML-N was making efforts to convince Khosa to reconsider his decision to resign from the party and as advisor to the chief minister as it would inflict serious damage to the ruling party in the coming elections.
