Reigning world champion Jason Richardson is in no doubt about what it will take to win the men’s Olympic 110m hurdles – a world record. The field for the men’s high hurdles is of the highest class, featuring the likes of Cuba’s defending Olympic champion and world record holder Dayron Robles, and 2004 Olympic gold medallist Liu Xiang of China. Also racing in what is expected to be one of the track highlights of these Games will be US teammate Aries Merritt, who clocked 12.93sec in the London Diamond League meet earlier this month to finish ahead of Richardson.
