State Bank defeated Candyland with a large margin of 83 runs in the Advance Telecom 2nd Corporate T20 Cup played at the DHA Sports Club – Moin Khan Academy on Tuesday. Naveed Malik the Man-of-the-Match award winner played an outstanding innings of 58 runs in 26 balls with 5 sixes and 5 fours. M. Afzal and Junaid Zia made 26 and 24 respectively to reach a final score of 160 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. In reply Candyland openers could face the fury of the SBP bowlers departing in two overs with the rest of the batsmen not being able to stay long at the crease. They lost wickets in quick succession. Hasan Mehmood bowled well for the bankers claiming 3 wickets for 16 runs as Candyland slumped to a lowly 77 in 14.3 overs.
