A seminary teacher severely tortured a student in Dera Ghazi Khan, paralyzing his legs and kidneys, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday. According to Dunya News, Abubakar, a 16-year-old student of Jamia Rehmania, arrived got late for his class by 10 minutes. As a punishment, his teacher Qari Kaleemullah brutally tortured him to the point of unconsciousness. The administration called in Rescue 1122 workers who shifted Abubakar to a hospital. According to the doctors at District Hospital, Abubakar’s legs have been paralyzed and his kidneys, badly affected. The student’s father Manzoor Ahmad has appealed to the government for action against the teacher.
