Police Ambulance Service saves 109 lives in 10 days

Islamabad police, through its free ambulance service launched ten days ago for patients in case of any emergency, shifted 109 people to various hospitals of the city and ensured immediate medical treatment for them.
The new ambulance service at Rescue 15 introduced on the direction of Inspector General of Police Bani Amin Khan is providing free of cost and round the clock service. It shifts patients to hospital as soon as it receives a call.
The IGP has said that the Islamabad police will continue its various programmes for guidance and welfare of the citizens. Medicines are also being provided to the patients at their homes and funds are provided by Islamabad police in case they are not in a position to buy medicines. Similarly, the cops of Islamabad police performing duties at various desks in hospitals also furnished necessary information and guidance to 573 patients.
The Islamabad police have introduced a service at Rescue 15 through which one can know about status of a vehicle whether it is genuine or stolen by simply sending an SMS to 8521 through a cell phone. During the last month, Islamabad police verified 9,591 vehicles through this service. Persons from various cities forwarded SMS through their mobiles to 8,521 having Chassis and registration numbers and got the status of their vehicles verified. Within less than 20 seconds, all details about the subject vehicle are displayed on the mobile phone. This service is proving helpful to curb car thefts.
SSP Yaseen Farooq has also directed the staff of Rescue 15 to further improve their services and provide maximum relief to citizens through gestures of friendly policing.
