Another doctor abducted in Quetta

Only a couple of days after the release of an abducted surgeon, unidentified armed gunmen kidnapped another senior doctor, presumably for ransom, in Quetta on Wednesday. According to police, Dr Ghulam Rasool, a senior professor at Bolan Medical College and psychiatric was going to his private clinic on Brewery Road when four armed men intercepted him. They pulled him out of his car, bundled him into theirs and fled. Capital City Police Officer Mir Zubair Mahmood told reporters that armed men had abducted Dr Rasool. However, he said the police were making efforts for his recovery. Sources in the police say a couple of weeks ago, some armed men broke into the house of Dr Ghulam Rasool and stole gold jewelry and cash worth almost a million rupees. On Monday, a senior surgeon Dr Deen Mohammad Bungalzai returned home safely last after remaining in the captivity for eight days.
