Amidst scorching heat and melting humidity in the air of federal capital, a quite artistic, colorful and rich art show by amateur student-artists turned the atmosphere serene, tranquil and pleasant for visitors of the show at National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad, on Tuesday.
The “Summer Art Show” was arranged by the Department of English Studies (Graduate Studies) for their talented students to expose their talents and other side of potentials in extra-curricular activities.
Students from different departments of the university participated in the “Summer Art Show” and displayed their paintings, sketches, calligraphies, drawings and art work to decorate the panoramic world of old civilizations, modern societies, nature, emotions, passions, aspirations and reality.
A wide range of paintings depicting the beautiful yard of Old Italian Houses, Old Egyptian Markets, Young Horses running on the sea shores, landscapes, blossoming flowers, water falls, sketches of old wrinkled faces and different sides and mood of human faces painted in pastel and charcoal were great source of attraction for the students, faculty members and staff members.
Students who displayed their art work included Aysha Rauf, Bilal Qureshi, Saba Shaheen, Rabia Qamar, Faizan Ahmed, Noshaba and Fariha and many others.
The show was inaugurated by the Rector NUML Maj Gen (R) Masood Hasan. The Rector along with DG Brig. Azam Jamal and other officials of the university saw all the art work and appreciated the students for their multi-dimensional skills.
Speaking on the occasion, Rector NUML Masood Hasan said this was really a source of pride and inspiration that students were participating in such extra-curricular activities along with their studies and it would never let them to give up in their life.
