KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed said helping and supporting the disabled, widows, orphans and low income people was like doing Jihad especially in the holy month of Ramazan.
He said this while distributing the ration and Eid gifts among the deserving people in a ceremony arranged by the Sailani Welfare Trust.
He praised the efforts of Sailani Welfare Trust which he said was a ray of hope for the poor and deprived people. Providing of ration to 25 thousand families during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak would make them smile and enable to celebrate Eid like other Muslims.
He said the poor and deserving people were helped in this holy month through Zakat and Fitrana and such helping persons and organization would in fact get higher status in the eyes of Almighty Allah.
Administrator Karachi said the organizations like Sailani Welfare Trust helped the government also by serving the people.
Trustee of Sailani Welfare Trust Arif Lakhani on this occasion said the trust had started its activities in 1999 and under the patronage of Maulana Muhammad Bashir Farooqi Qadri about one Lac people were benefiting from this organization.
