Local leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from Rawalpindi chapter opposed the party’s decision to embrace Sheikh Rasheed on Wednesday.
According to sources, Hanif Abbasi, Shakeel Awan, Akhtar Mehmood and Sardar Nasim were among those who opposed the decision of the party to re-unite Sheikh Rasheed into the fold of PML-N.
Sources also revealed that local leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) have also opposed the electoral alliance with Sheikh Rasheed’s party, the Awami Muslim League (AML). The leaders of PTI suggested that Rasheed should merge his party with PTI instead of making an alliance.
