If you happen to be going through Paradepp withdrawal, here’s something to scratch that itch for at least a few minutes. Despite splitting up earlier this year, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are still in perfect harmony (well, she sings and he whispers) on “Ballade de Melodie Nelson,” a cover of the Serge Gainsbourg song to be found on From Gainsbourg to Lulu, Lucien “Lulu” Gainsbourg’s new tribute album to his late father. So, when did the now separated parents of two come together to make this musical memory? A rep for the album confirmed to E! News that Depp and his ex recorded the track in Los Angeles in or around February 2011. So, theoretically, there may not have been any signs of trouble in Paradis at the time.
