Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the current socio-economic system in the country benefits only the influential and capitalists, while poor people have no share in the resources and no one is ready to pay heed towards their sufferings.
He was talking to various delegations of common people at his tent office, at the Government High School Tajpura, on Tuesday.
Shahbaz said that even in his tent offices, he was quite aware of the ground realities and problems faced by the common man.
People visiting the tent office told the CM about their hardships and urged him to take steps to help them get rid of their problems.
The chief minister said that the prolonged dictatorial regime of Pervez Musharraf had pushed national institutions to the verge of destruction and halted the development process. Shahbaz said that he fully supports accountability, but on equitable bases. He urged concerned authorities to wrap up minor cases as soon as possible and directed the police to recover a citizen abducted from Shafiqabad within a week.
