Ambassador Sherry Rehman discussed Pakistan-US relations with US Senator Daniel K. Inouye, according to a private TV channel.
Ambassador informed Inouye that Pakistan attached great importance to its relationship with the United States.
She also apprised him of Pakistan’s efforts to improve regional security and its relations with the neighboring countries.
Senator Inouye expressed his commitment for improving the Pakistan-US bilateral relations.
Senator Inouye is the senior most member of the US Senate and has been a Senator since 1958. He currently chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee and the Sub-committee for Defence Appropriations.
